The area surrounding Suzhou has been nurtured by Wu culture, including Shanghai, Zhejiang province and Jiangsu province.Xitang is one of the most beautiful little towns I have ever had the privilege of visiting. When Marco Polo visited Hangzhou in the late 13th century, he wrote that it was "beyond dispute the finest and the noblest in the world."
