RiTan Park is centered on the Temple of the Sun and lies on the east side of Beijing within what is now one of the embassy areas.

The temple dates from the late Ming dynasty. It complements the Temple of the Moon (YueTan) in the west; the other two axial temples in Beijing are the Temple of Earth (DiTan) in the north and the Temple of Heaven (TianTan) in the south.

This delightful park features some ancient trees, rocky hills, ponds, cafes, winding paths and exercise areas.
