HangZhou 杭州 – ‘Heaven on Earth’
Eight hundred years ago, Marco Polo described HangZhou as the most enchanting place on Earth. West Lake is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Adjacent to the West Lake is a scenic area that includes historical pagodas and other cultural sites, blended with the natural beauty of the landscape, including Phoenix Mountain. The lake is crossed by two causeways.
The wonderful, beautiful HuangShan 黄山
Yellow Mountain, 黄山, in AnHui province, between ShangHai and WuHan, is one of China's most popular travel destinations. An area of outstanding natural beauty, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
XinTianDi 新天地, ShangHai
XinTianDi ('New Heaven and Earth') is a delightful, up-market area partly based on renovated traditional mid-19th century ShiKuMen ('Stone Gate') houses and alleyways. Here you find boutiques, book stores, cafes and restaurants, hotels and shopping malls. Most of the cafes and restaurants feature both indoor and outdoor dining and are popular by day and by night.
QianHai 前海 Lake, central BeiJing
Lotus Lane is a charming place to wander and a lively place in the evening to dine and listen to live music ... Often mis-named as HouHai, which is actually another lake immediately to the north, these lakes form part of ShiChaHai, once the docks at the northern end of the Grand Canal from HangZhou. To the south lies BeiHai and JingShan Parks and to the north, the Drum and Bell Towers; east from there lies NanLuoGuXiang, a largely pedestrianized hutong filled with craft and speciality shops and cafes.
